INTERACTIVE / TRY A SITUATION

What happens when the payment moment changes?

Select a situation. Follow the steps to see what the phone can read, what needs a bank connection, and when a merchant’s checkout changes the answer. These are examples, not live payment checks.

SMALL SHOP / DATA UNAVAILABLE01 / 04

Read the QR on the phone

A camera can decode a supported QR without mobile data. The app can show the recipient information locally, but the QR does not prove the recipient’s identity.

The bank still controls whether the payment can go ahead.

LIMEPAYX / OUR PURPOSE

Keep the path clear when the connection changes.

Mobile data can be unavailable in a basement, crowded venue, rural area, or during a temporary network issue. LimePayX helps users understand what can still work, what cannot, and what to do next.

LimePayX is a payment guidance app developed by One Touch Pvt Ltd. It helps people navigate selected bank-supported USSD payment flows such as *99#. Your bank remains responsible for authorization and processing.

01

Make the next step clearer

Explain the process in everyday language and show what information a user should check at each stage.

02

Respect the bank’s role

Recipient verification, PIN entry, authorization, processing, and transaction records belong to the bank’s approved flow.

03

Be honest about limits

Offline data does not mean offline cellular service. A usable route depends on the bank, carrier, SIM, device, and payment type.

01 / TWO DIFFERENT CONDITIONS

“No data” is not “no network.”

Try the switch. LimePayX can guide a *99# flow when mobile data is off, but the phone still needs cellular service and the bank and carrier route must be available. This is not a payment that works with no telecom connectivity at all.

This example has cellular signal and a supported bank route. The bank still decides whether a transaction can proceed.

Try each switch. This is a teaching example, not a live check of your phone, bank, or carrier.

NETWORK COMPATIBILITY

Know which network routes LimePayX supports.

LimePayX currently supports the *99# payment flow on Airtel, Vi, and BSNL. Jio is not supported for this flow. You still need cellular signal, a bank-registered SIM, and a bank account and route that support the service.

SUPPORTED NETWORKS
AirtelViBSNL

Support means the network route is available for compatible bank and SIM setups. It does not guarantee every bank menu or transaction type.

NOT SUPPORTEDJio

The LimePayX *99# route is unavailable on Jio.

WHAT “OFFLINE” CAN MEAN

There is more than one approach.

People use “offline payments” to describe different technologies. They have different prerequisites and solve different parts of the connectivity problem. An interface cannot turn one method into another or bypass a bank’s approved payment route.

RBI’s offline-payment framework defines offline transactions as ones that do not require internet or telecom connectivity to take effect. A USSD call still uses telecom service. UPI Lite and UPI Lite X have their own product rules and are offered through participating payment apps.

INTERACTIVE BANK MENU

*99# / USSD

Uses a phone’s cellular USSD service to interact with a bank menu. Mobile data can be off, but cellular service is needed. The bank’s menu, eligibility, limits, and carrier support determine what is possible.

  • No mobile-data session for the USSD interaction
  • Requires cellular coverage and supported service
  • Menu-based; bank prompts can vary
LimePayX guides selected bank-supported flows of this type. Availability and supported actions vary by bank, SIM, carrier, and device.
PRE-ENABLED BALANCE

UPI Lite / Lite X

UPI Lite keeps a small pre-funded balance for eligible transactions. Lite X adds offline functionality described by NPCI and uses NFC-capable devices for supported tap flows. Availability, limits, setup, and behavior depend on supported apps and current rules.

  • Must be enabled and funded ahead of time
  • Lite X requires NFC-capable devices
  • Different design from paying directly through *99#
LimePayX does not provide UPI Lite or Lite X.
VOICE / FEATURE-PHONE ROUTE

UPI 123PAY

NPCI describes 123PAY as a UPI payment option designed for feature phones and users with limited or no internet connectivity, including voice-based modes. It is a separate service with its own onboarding and participating providers.

  • Voice and other modes depend on the specific service
  • Designed for supported banks/providers and devices
  • Not a generic QR checkout replacement
LimePayX does not operate the 123PAY service.

BEFORE THE FIRST PAYMENT

The bank account must be ready.

An attractive scan screen cannot register a bank account or create a working payment route on its own. On a supported SIM and bank, the user may need to finish bank-led onboarding before paying through *99#.

Seeing a normal menu with options such as Send Money, Balance, or UPI PIN means the USSD service reached a bank menu. It does not, by itself, prove that the intended account is linked, its UPI PIN is usable, or a particular QR can be paid.

01

Check the registered SIM

The phone should use the mobile number registered with the bank account. With two SIMs, the bank-registered SIM matters for the call route.

02

Open the official bank flow

Dial *99# from the Phone app where the service is supported. The bank may show a main menu or ask for account linking and setup steps.

03

Complete bank instructions

Choose the correct account and set or confirm a UPI PIN only in the bank’s official prompts. Menus and requirements can differ.

04

Review readiness honestly

LimePayX can help you record your setup steps, but that record is not bank verification. Confirm account readiness with your bank.

PLAIN LANGUAGE / FIVE TERMS

Know what each part actually does.

01

Mobile data

The internet connection an ordinary UPI app uses for its screens and payment requests. It may fail even while the phone still has cellular service.

02

Cellular signal

The phone’s connection to a mobile network. A *99# USSD session needs this connection even when mobile data is switched off.

03

USSD

A short interactive session between a phone and a service through the mobile network. The bank can ask questions in menu screens.

04

UPI PIN

The secret code used to authorize a UPI debit. Enter it only in the official bank or UPI authorization screen; never in this website.

05

Reference ID

An identifier for a transaction attempt. It helps the bank investigate, but a number copied from a screen is not proof that the merchant’s order is paid.

02 / THE ROUTE

Fewer unknowns,
one step at a time.

LimePayX guides the user through a supported journey; it does not make an invisible or automatic payment. Authentication and authorization remain with the bank.

ON THIS DEVICE

Read payment details

LimePayX reads supported QR details and shows the recipient and amount it can decode. A QR alone does not verify who controls an address.

01 03

WHAT “SIMPLER” MEANS

Follow the same payment idea through two views.

A typical *99# menu can ask questions before the bank requests authorization. LimePayX helps prepare supported payment details while keeping bank approval and the final result in the official flow. The exact prompts vary by bank.

AN EXAMPLE, NOT A UNIVERSAL MENU
01

Start *99#

Open the phone’s USSD session with cellular service.

02

Choose an action

Select Send Money in the bank’s own menu.

03

Choose recipient type

The bank may ask for a UPI ID, account route, or another supported identifier.

04

Enter recipient and amount

Type the requested details and any required note or reference.

05

Review and authorize

Check the bank-displayed payee and amount, then use the bank’s official PIN prompt.

06

Read the result

Check the bank’s response and official history before retrying an uncertain payment.

Example steps are illustrative. A bank may present a different order, more questions, fewer questions, or an unavailable route.

03 / QR COMPATIBILITY

A QR may encode rules for the purchase.

UPI QR payloads can include a payee address, display name, currency, amount, note, and other parameters. Some merchant checkouts also depend on a transaction or order reference and a provider-specific confirmation step. Parsing fields does not establish that a bank route supports them or that an order has been paid.

UPI PAYMENT QRPAYEE DETAILS
Payee UPI IDCan contain a UPI addressAmountMay be optional
i

A QR is data supplied by its creator; a displayed name or UPI ID is not independent proof of identity. Compare the bank’s final payee and amount with what you expect before approving.

What to verify

Confirm the bank-displayed payee and amount before authorizing.

04 / KNOW THE LIMITS

Clear expectations are part of the product.

LimePayX is an Android app that guides users through selected bank-supported flows. It does not hold funds or replace your bank. Availability and supported actions depend on your bank, carrier, SIM, device, and the type of payment.

WHAT WE KNOW01

A cellular connection is needed for *99# even when mobile data is off.

WHAT IS STILL BEING TESTEDOPEN
  • Bank and carrier availability
  • QR and checkout metadata support
  • Reliable bank-originated transaction status
  • Merchant order reconciliation and reversal handling
  • Regulatory, security, and partner approvals

HELP & SAFETY

What to know before you rely on a new payment route

LimePayX availability can vary by bank, SIM, carrier, device, merchant, and QR code. Check the payment details in your bank’s official prompt before authorizing.

21 answers
01What is LimePayX?

LimePayX is an app by One Touch Pvt Ltd that guides users through selected bank-supported payment flows when mobile data is unavailable. It does not hold or transfer funds; your bank processes and authorizes payments.

02What does “offline” mean here?

It refers to mobile data being unavailable. A *99# USSD session still requires cellular service to communicate with the bank. If the phone has no usable cellular signal, the session cannot reach the bank.

03Does *99# work with every bank and carrier?

No. Availability and supported actions can depend on the bank, account, registered SIM, carrier, handset, roaming conditions, and current service status. LimePayX does not guarantee universal compatibility.

04Can this website or app make a payment today?

LimePayX does not hold funds or replace your bank. It helps guide you to a supported bank flow; the bank handles authorization and payment processing.

05Will scanning any UPI QR work?

Not necessarily. A QR may contain a standard payee address, amount, or note; some merchant checkouts include additional order metadata or depend on a particular provider’s checkout flow. A code that can be decoded is not automatically payable through every route.

06What if the QR contains a fixed amount?

The amount is part of the payment request and LimePayX shows it for review. LimePayX displays an amount encoded in a supported QR for review. Confirm the amount and recipient in your bank’s prompt before approving. Never proceed if the values disagree.

07Why might a merchant QR need more than the UPI ID and amount?

The merchant may need a transaction reference, order identifier, terminal data, or a callback from its payment provider to match the payment to an order. A direct transfer can move money without completing the merchant’s checkout, so use the merchant’s supported payment method when checkout data is required.

08Does seeing a name in a QR prove it is the right person or business?

No. QR contents are provided by whoever created the code. Treat the name as a clue, not verification. Check the payee shown in the bank’s official confirmation screen and make sure it matches the intended recipient.

09Will the app fill every USSD screen automatically?

Assisted entry is limited to recognized prompts and supported controls. It pauses when a prompt is unfamiliar. Menus can differ or change, so review the bank prompt yourself before authorizing.

10Can the app skip the bank’s steps and ask only for my PIN?

There is no safe universal shortcut. The bank determines the steps and information needed to authorize a payment. LimePayX cannot bypass bank authentication, bank prompts, or required confirmations.

11Where should I enter my UPI PIN?

Only in the official bank or UPI authorization screen. Never tell it to a person, enter it on this website, send it in a message, or put it into an untrusted app. A PIN is not needed to receive money.

12How do I know a payment actually succeeded?

Use your bank’s official transaction status or account history and the merchant’s order confirmation. A LimePayX screen, screenshot, SMS text alone, or reference number is not sufficient proof by itself. Do not retry an uncertain payment until you check whether it was debited.

13What if the payment says pending, failed, or times out?

Do not assume that a timeout means no debit, and do not immediately pay again. Check the bank’s transaction history or contact the bank through its official channel. For a merchant purchase, also ask the merchant to check the order using its payment provider.

14What should I do if money was debited but the merchant says it did not arrive?

Keep the transaction reference and time, check the official bank status, and contact the sending bank through its official support channel. Give the merchant the reference through its official support. Avoid sending a second payment until the first transaction’s status is clear.

15What if I have no cellular signal at all?

A USSD route cannot be relied on without cellular service. Wait until service returns or use another payment method that is available and appropriate. Do not interpret “no mobile data” and “no signal” as the same condition.

16Will this work while roaming or with dual SIM?

Compatibility can vary with roaming, carrier routing, the default calling SIM, and which SIM is registered with your bank. Check with your bank and carrier before relying on a route.

17Which mobile networks does LimePayX support?

LimePayX currently supports the *99# route on Airtel, Vi, and BSNL. Jio is not supported for this flow. A working route also depends on cellular signal, your bank-registered SIM, and bank support.

18Does LimePayX collect my bank credentials or payment data?

This website has no payment or sign-up forms. LimePayX sign-in uses Google account details such as your name, email address, and profile picture. Support messages are sent to LimePayX support services and Google AI and may be stored so the assistant can respond and the support team can follow up. Payment history is stored on your device. Never share your UPI PIN, OTP, password, or bank credentials in chat. Read our Privacy Policy for details.

19Is LimePayX affiliated with NPCI, a bank, or another UPI app?

LimePayX is developed by One Touch Pvt Ltd. LimePayX is not a bank and does not claim endorsement by NPCI, a bank, or another UPI app.

20Which banks and payment routes are supported?

Supported banks and routes can vary. LimePayX does not promise universal compatibility; check the app and your bank’s official guidance for the route available to you.

21How can I use LimePayX safely?

Never share your UPI PIN, OTP, password, or bank credentials with LimePayX or on this website. Enter your PIN only in the official bank authorization prompt, and verify the result in your bank’s official history.

WHEN THE FLOW IS UNCERTAIN

Don’t make a confusing moment more expensive.

A slow response or an error is not enough to conclude that no money moved. A safe product should explain what is known, what is not known, and the next trustworthy place to check.
